Texas rallied past Missouri 34-20 on Saturday in Columbia. The Longhorns (7-2, 4-2 SEC) were tied 20-20 after three quarters, then scored 14 unanswered in the fourth. Arch Manning threw for 297 yards and three touchdowns, including the go-ahead pass to Raleek Brown with 5:03 left. The Tigers fall to 6-3.

The call fans are still arguing about came late in the third quarter, with Missouri up 20-13. Officials ruled a Manning throw a fumble on the field. KRCG says the referee upheld the original call, while USA TODAY says the call was overturned after review. Texas tied it three plays later. An SEC official said in a statement, "The ruling on the field was a fumble."

  • Simmons: 252 passing yards and two touchdowns
  • Roberts, the SEC's leading rusher: held to 66 yards
  • Brown: 85 rushing yards and a clinching touchdown

Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz wouldn't blame the officials: "If I say what I want to say, I'm going to get fined until I don't have any retirement." The Missourian reports Texas also won the special-teams battle, and it was only the fourth time the Tigers lost at home in the last four seasons.

Columbia's school board will consider a $260 million bond issue for the April ballot on Monday

If you care about Columbia's school buildings, Monday matters. The Columbia School Board will consider Monday whether a $260 million bond issue goes on the April ballot. It would help fund the first five years of Columbia Public Schools' 10-year facilities plan.

The $260 million plan would ask voters twice; the $150 million plan, three times

The Finance Committee unanimously recommended the $260 million option on Nov. 2 over a $150 million one. Chief Financial Officer Heather McArthur said both ask voters for the same amount over the same period, just in different elections. Committee Chair Paul Wagner called the choice "reading the tea leaves."

  • Board vote: Monday, Nov. 9
  • Why bonds: Missouri gives no state formula funding for capital projects
  • Both versions cover the same renovations and updates

The $260 million bond would go from committee to voters over seven years

  3. AprilVoters would see the bond issue on the ballot if the board agrees.

The projects aren't set in stone yet. The has been working with students, teachers and staff, and holding community open houses to hear what changes the public wants.
