If you're headed to Faurot Field, or watching on ESPN, today's game is a big one. AP says it could be described as a de facto playoff elimination game: Texas and Missouri are both 6-2 and 3-2 in the SEC, a game back of the SEC lead. The Tigers were 18th in the first College Football Playoff rankings, released Tuesday, and Texas was seventh.
Missouri has the better offense and turnover margin, but Texas' defense is ninth in the FBS in yards allowed. Coach Eli Drinkwitz said Tuesday, "It's going to be a tremendous challenge, I look forward to having a home game in an awesome atmosphere."
