- ➤ Woodhaven invites locals to join a pub crawl on Saturday at 12 bars with exclusive food or drink specials for a $12.50 wristband; proceeds benefit Woodhaven and wristbands are available starting at 5 p.m. Friday at On The Rocks — participating bars span Broadway to Cherry St. Inside Columbia

- ➤ Missouri's fiscal 2026 budget cut state transit aid by 42% & reduced funds for local services like GO COMO, leaving less dollar matching for federal funds. Transit supervisors warn that the funding shortfall will lead to service changes that may impact residents' daily travel. KRCG
- ➤ On Thursday, Dec. 4, the Montgomery County Commission met to review road upgrades for Project Green — a 1,000-acre site north of I-70 between New Florence and High Hill planned for an Amazon data center — and is considering needs for a second data center proposal and potential tax incentives. - ➤ Columbia Public Works said winter weather delayed phase three of the roundabout construction at West Route K and West Old Plank Road until Dec. 26. Phase four starts Dec. 29 with West Old Plank Road closed during work, and traffic detours run via South Sinclair Road & West Southampton Drive. KOMU 8

- ➤ Firefighters from the Columbia Fire Department’s HazMat team responded at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday after homeowners in Callaway County reported grocery bags contaminated with a 25% sulfuric acid solution that caused skin irritation and minor property damage.
