- ➤ Show-Me Central Habitat for Humanity announced that Jennifer James will serve as its new executive director on Friday—she will lead the nonprofit in its local housing efforts. Columbia Missourian
- ➤ The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri will accept food and monetary donations tomorrow at Schnuck's and Hy-Vee stores as part of its 24th annual Partnership Against Hunger drive, and Veterans United Foundation will match gifts up to $50,000. Columbia Daily Tribune
- ➤ The United States Exercise Tiger Foundation is holding its annual Sgt. Rosie's Blankets for Vets and Pets drive—open until Jan. 10—to collect 300 blankets, 25 pet beds and 300 pounds of dry pet food from area residents, with drop boxes set up at locations including Callaway Bank and the Sigma Nu Fraternity. Boxes were distributed starting Nov. 21 and donations may also include jackets, coats and ready-to-eat meal packages. Columbia Daily Tribune
