- ➤ The Columbia Area Career Center celebrated its new expansion opening Tuesday — after nearly two years of construction, the $15 million project added more than 26,000 square feet. - ➤ Veterans Day next week will change trash and recycling service in Columbia and Fulton. Fulton will not pick up trash on Nov. 11 with Tuesday service moved to Wednesday while Columbia will delay curbside pickup and suspend parking enforcement—public health offices and other city services will be closed on Veterans Day.
