The 65th annual Boone County Art Show featured nearly 200 art pieces from local residents — highlighting the event's role in a long-standing tradition of community artistry — and celebrated local talent in a vibrant display.

The council will also update its strategic plan for violence prevention and swear in new directors for Community Development and Housing and Neighborhood Services—steps that could influence future city projects.

University of Missouri System President Mun Choi walked downtown with local business owners, residents, and Boone County Prosecutor Roger Johnson on Saturday night to review the increased police presence put in place after a deadly shooting raised concerns over street gatherings.
