  • Today, Zipper Fest hosted its third annual art festival in Columbia that aimed to lessen social isolation by connecting local artists, vendors, and guests through interactive experiences—organizers introduced a $5 stamp passport for attendees to collect at various stands.  KOMU 8

  • The Columbia City Council will vote on the fiscal year 2026 city budget on Monday and will consider raising parking rates at its monthly meeting.  Columbia Missourian

SPORTS NEWS

  • Today, the Mizzou Tigers moved the kickoff against Louisiana Lafayette three hours earlier at Faurot Field to ease extreme heat, but many fans still struggled as the turf reached 176 degrees. By halftime, nearly half the stadium had left and first responders treated one person for heat exhaustion—prompting health officials to warn against alcohol consumption in high temperatures.  ABC 17
