- ➤ Central Missouri Honor Flight will run its final 71st flight on Monday, Sept.15 as it flies seventy veterans from Columbia to Washington, D.C.—applications have slowed down and the service, which began in May 2009 and flew over 5,600 veterans, will end. The veterans will depart at 1:45 a.m. and return to the Courtyard by Marriott at 9:30 p.m. with a homecoming event planned. KOMU 8
- ➤ Members of U of M's Sigma Nu Fraternity and the United States Exercise Tiger Foundation placed over 250 flags outside Boone County Courthouse today for the mid-Missouri Patriot Day Remembrance and Wreath Tribute at 7:30 a.m.—the flags honored the victims of 9/11, Missouri soldiers, and a MU graduate.
