ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A crash on Friday night on Highway 124 between Hallsville and Centralia injured four people—three were children—and responders transported the 42-year-old Jeep driver, his 10-year-old passenger, and two 17-year-old car occupants to University Hospital as both vehicles sustained extensive damage, were towed, and the road was temporarily closed.  ABC 17

  • The SEED of Success Gala—The Grand Masquerade honored local minority and women-owned businesses as guests from across Missouri and beyond attended the event. The gala recognized these business owners and celebrated their contributions to the community.  Columbia Missourian

  • The A-Frame Wine Garden in Rocheport celebrated its 40th anniversary on Saturday from 4-8 p.m. with games, live music, wine tastings, food, and a scenic view of the Missouri River, while marketing director Christina Kelley noted the venue has grown from a small family-run space into a popular local gathering place.  KOMU 8

  • Columbia Public Schools announced that DS Bus Lines will begin providing school buses on Tuesday for the 2025–26 school year—though the safety app Beacon Connect will not be available until September.  KOMU 8
