- ➤ Columbia police arrested David Adams, 44, and Julius Cureton, 37, on Aug. 14 in connection with the 2017 home invasion that left Augustus Roberts dead in Columbia—Adams was taken on Paris Road and Cureton near Rolling Hills and Pride Mountain Drive in a drug-related case. Columbia Daily Tribune

- ➤ A Columbia man, Travion Reams, 32, was charged with a dozen felonies in Cole County after a chase in Jefferson City reportedly led to his silver Hyundai hitting an officer’s patrol vehicle—passenger Johnny Ellis, 51, was charged with illegal gun possession and armed criminal action. ABC 17

- ➤ The Columbia Public Works Department will start pavement maintenance on several residential streets at 7 a.m. Monday and continue until Sept. 3 with lanes closed and no-parking signs posted — Columbia Street Division crews will resurface four streets daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until work ends by 7 p.m. Thursday.
