Columbia has set up six cooling centers to help residents avoid heat exhaustion by offering water, seating + bathrooms at local venues, including City Hall and the Activity and Recreation Center.

An overnight shelter opened yesterday at the Opportunity Campus with 150 beds to support unhoused individuals.
