COMMUNITY NEWS

  • City of Refuge purchased a building adjacent to its current facility with a $750,000 ARPA grant from Boone County and will convert the space for immigration legal services, a learning center and a culinary training initiative — a move to expand support for refugees.  Columbia Daily Tribune

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A 51-year-old motorcyclist from Rhineland was seriously injured Saturday near 2113 on Missouri Highway 19 when he hit a deer and was thrown off his 2005 Big Dog Chopper—his motorcycle was totaled and he was taken to Mercy Washington Hospital.  ABC 17
  • Firefighters responded to a stove fire at 808 Washington Road on Sunday—after a resident left grease on the stove—and quickly put out the kitchen fire with no injuries reported.  ABC 17
