- ➤ Columbia police arrested a juvenile after 18-year-old Zarian Simpson died from a gunshot wound on June 15 around 8 p.m. near East Broadway and Old 63; the juvenile faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. KRCG
- ➤ Cole County Judge Cotton Walker ordered St. Paul Fire and Marine Company and The Travelers Indemnity Company to pay Ryan Ferguson $43,840,538—money awarded after he spent over a decade in prison for a 2001 murder for which his conviction was later overturned in 2013. KRCG
