CRIME NEWS

  • Columbia police are looking for three men in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Saturday at 2:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Scott Boulevard, where a clerk said one suspect had a gun and took money from a business.  KRCG

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Governor Kehoe will travel to Paris on Monday for a five-day trade mission to boost exports and build new business ties. He will meet with international leaders while Lieutenant Governor David Wasinger acts as governor during his absence.  ABC 17
  • About 3,000 people gathered on the south lawn of the Missouri State Capitol for a peaceful 'No Kings' protest organized by We Stand United Missouri—organizers said the event echoes a 200-year tradition of resisting royal power.  KRCG
  • The city council will meet to discuss changes to the city’s definition of 'equity'—a debate tabled last month—and review plans for Park Avenue housing replacements.  Columbia Missourian
  • Gov. Mike Kehoe signed Senate Bills 1, 3 and 4 into law Saturday to provide disaster relief, property tax relief and economic development support across the state, including $50 million for the University of Missouri's Research Reactor and funds for agriculture, parks, conservation and mental health projects. Senate Bill 3 offers incentives to help keep Kansas City sports teams in the state while Senate Bill 4 speeds up the housing trust fund for emergency aid—moves the governor said are crucial for protecting jobs and supporting Missourians.  ABC 17
