- ➤ Columbia will open three public pools during the summer season from noon to 5 p.m. most days to offer residents a chance to cool off and enjoy outdoor activities — officials announced the plan. Columbia Missourian
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Columbia police and SWAT responded to a domestic disturbance today at around 4:30 a.m. on the 2700 block of Summit Road between South Fairview Road and Laurel Drive where an adult male suspect, believed to be with another adult and a child, was taken into custody and the incident resolved peacefully. - ➤ LiUNA chapter will host a town hall to discuss MU wages and an attendance policy. The union said it is negotiating with MU and will soon begin talks with MU Health Care — plans that aim to address worker concerns in the coming months. Columbia Missourian

- ➤ The city will perform pavement maintenance on 30 streets in Columbia daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday using a new surface treatment—designed to extend roadway life—while weather may affect the work that will finish on June 6 and drivers are advised to use alternate routes. - ➤ Columbia City Council will discuss a new recycling facility, a new subdivision, and shuttle services for Mizzou's campus Monday evening—plans that may shape community improvements. Columbia Missourian
