ECONOMY NEWS

  • Columbia Regional Airport launched nonstop flights to Charlotte on Friday and saw fares drop as passenger numbers rose. The airport will add two new parking lots and begin bidding for a hot food kitchen soon — measures that support its growing service for local travelers.  KRCG

  • MU Pre-ETS held its first Missouri Job Olympics today to let students with disabilities showcase workplace skills and connect with local employers—offering opportunities to practice interview techniques and prepare for life after graduation.  KOMU 8

  • The MSHSAA State Track & Field Competition began Friday in Jefferson City and is expected to bring in nearly $5.1 million as over 30,000 athletes, coaches and fans arrive.
