Fifty-six teams are racing to solve puzzles (a process that may take days or weeks) as they search for a $10,000 diamond hidden in Boone County.

A Columbia family launched a snow cone stand on Worley Street to raise money for Eugene Dicus’s cancer treatment, selling soda, water, and chips.

The stand, which raised nearly $400 on its first weekend, operates weekdays from 5 to 7 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. until sunset.

Missouri River Relief got a $100,000 Kao Family Foundation grant to expand its Missouri River Days and Adventure Camp programs — connecting more students to the river.

Columbia Public Schools will host Missouri River Day today at Cooper's Landing Campground & Marina, with sessions on Apr. 29 and May 1.
