- ➤ The Voluntary Action Center will open its new headquarters at Opportunity Campus, where residents can access gas vouchers + additional services to help prevent homelessness. Columbia Missourian
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Missouri will stop designated funding to five student organizations today to comply with DOJ restrictions—these groups will be reclassified and eligible for equal funding beginning Fall 2026. ABC 17
- ➤ Stephanie Reid-Arndt, a clinical psychologist with 25 years at MU, will become dean of the College of Health Sciences on June 1 (succeeding Kristofer Hagglund, who retires in August). Columbia Daily Tribune
- ➤ At a Friday meeting with the Division of Student Affairs, student leaders learned that multicultural umbrella organizations at the University will be defunded starting in July and that groups like the Legion of Black Collegians will lose student government recognition. KOMU 8
- ➤ Mizzou announced that multicultural organizations will lose direct university funding and the Legion of Black Collegians will no longer be recognized as a student government group, a change affecting campus support. Columbia Missourian
