- ➤ The Columbia Farmers Market will launch on April 4 at Agriculture Park from 8 a.m. to noon. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A new ETA Transit app, announced Thursday (Mar. 26), is available in Columbia to simplify travel by offering real-time notifications, bus directions and improved search functions. The free app can be downloaded from both the Apple App Store and Google Play. KOMU 8
- ➤ The state House passed a spending bill on Mar. 26 that cuts funding for some colleges by 40% (reallocating over $1 billion in state aid), while Senate lawmakers oppose the plan and warn it could harm local schools. KOMU 8
- ➤ The Missouri Department of Transportation announced that the deteriorating tri-level bridge over Highway 50 in Jefferson City will be demolished next month, prompting closure of the highway and ramps—except the ramp from Highway 54 to Highway 50—from 9 a.m. April 10 to 9 p.m. April 12. ABC 17
- ➤ The City of Columbia is pushing its Community Solar program to expand renewable energy access for residents. City officials said details on enrollment and funding will be provided soon (updates are pending). Columbia Missourian

- ➤ Today, the University of Missouri and the U.S. Department of Energy began producing gadolinium-153 (Gd-153) to secure a domestic source for vital diagnostic imaging after international production halted in 2023.
