- ➤ Columbia Farmers Market will launch its 46th season on April 4 at Agriculture Park from 8 a.m. to noon — live music and a drop-in children’s activity at the One Room Schoolhouse will mark the opening, and a Midweek Market Meetup from 4 to 7 p.m. begins May 27. KOMU 8

- ➤ Rock Bridge Elementary School principal Ryan Link leads classes today while receiving treatment for Stage 4 glioblastoma. He wears a treatment cap daily and visits Washington University monthly as part of a clinical trial that began in December 2025 — his commitment to his school remains strong. KOMU 8
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ MoDOT announced nightly lane closures along Paris Road between Whitegate Drive and Waco Road to upgrade pavement markings. The closures begin today — running from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. until mid-April — so drivers should plan alternate routes. ABC 17
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Missouri agencies warned residents about potent synthetic opioid nitazenes found in counterfeit pills, powders, cannabis and vape liquid. Health officials urge individuals to use medications from a licensed pharmacy and access lifesaving resources (naloxone). KOMU 8
- ➤ Benjamin Casterline, a Mizzou researcher, is studying ways to desensitize patients with alpha-gal syndrome so they can eat meat again and hopes to begin clinical trials soon. Columbia Missourian
