- ➤ Four candidates including three incumbents and one newcomer are running for a seat on the Columbia School Board in the April 7 election. They detailed plans to boost student attendance, review outdated policies, and increase community input for more transparent board meetings. KOMU 8
- ➤ The child care subsidy waitlist reached 565 families — 1,013 children are waiting, marking a jump of over 60% since March 1 as reported by DESE. State officials will update monthly data online to help families understand average wait times. KOMU 8
- ➤ Columbia high school students will compete in the televised Make48 engineering contest — a challenge to solve real-world problems — as they showcase their skills on a local broadcast. Columbia Missourian
