EDUCATION NEWS

  • Kehoe met with Mizzou students today to discuss high costs for farmers, low commodity prices, and evolving agricultural technology (Mizzou event). The talk offered insights into challenges and advancements in local farming.  Columbia Missourian

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A lane of eastbound I-70 east of Columbia was closed yesterday at Boone County Route Z (mile marker 133.8) for emergency pavement repairs; officials advised drivers to allow extra time as repairs continued into today.  KOMU 8
  • The Missouri Department of Transportation will delay closing East New Haven Road at U.S. 63 until March 16 due to weather—crews will perform drainage, electrical and widening projects into early June while keeping access open at New Haven Elementary School.  KOMU 8
  • Gov. Mike Kehoe spoke to ag students at MU on Wednesday about how technology and innovation are shaping the future of agriculture. He advised students to embrace new tools and ideas and predicted that ag marketing jobs will rise over the next decade.  KOMU 8
  • The City of Columbia is seeking resident feedback on its updated stormwater management plan. Residents can review the draft and comment by April 10, with a public meeting scheduled at City Hall (701 E. Broadway) on April 2 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.  Columbia Daily Tribune
