- ➤ The Missouri Department of Conservation highlighted the Northern Snakehead fish during National Invasive Species Awareness Week. The invasive fish, which can breathe air and survive out of water for days, is challenging native species in Missouri waterways. KRCG
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A segment of I-70 Drive from Woodridge to Glenstone will be closed for construction through December to complete planned road improvements. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes during the work. Columbia Missourian
- ➤ Nearly two years after the fatal swift-water rescue that claimed the life of Assistant Fire Chief Matthew Tobben (42), local fire agencies are implementing report recommendations on joint rescue training today. Fire officials say upcoming meetings will improve coordination, training and equipment for safer mutual aid. ABC 17
- ➤ Business Loop and Paris Road will be improved as part of the Improve I-70 project, which will upgrade the roadway between Rocheport and Columbia. The project is expected to ease local traffic in the coming months. Columbia Missourian
