- ➤ The first annual Onesie Pub Crawl, sponsored by The District + Ironic Event, begins at 6 p.m. this Saturday, with stops at Magnolia’s Whisky & Wine, Broadway Brewery, Vault, and Eastside Tavern OR On The Rocks where participants can scan a QR code at each stop for a chance to win one of three $50 gift cards. - ➤ Columbia shelters are preparing for dangerously cold winter weather; Harbor House has stocked coats, jackets, scarves and food and is asking for donations (boots, gloves and coffee), while Room at the Inn COMO will remain open this weekend for overnight guests. KOMU 8

- ➤ The Columbia Farmers Market vendor fair will give new and prospective vendors expert help on Feb. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. inside the heated MU Health Care Pavilion at Agriculture Park + vendors must operate within 50 miles to join the market. Columbia Daily Tribune

- ➤ Low-income households in Columbia can apply for free True/False Film Fest passes until Feb. 6 through a collaboration between the Ragtag Film Society and Parks and Recreation; pass reservations open Feb. 21, and winners pick up passes at Sager Reeves Gallery beginning March 4 (call 573-874-7460 for details). - ➤ The Boone Regional Beekeepers Association hosts a beginner class on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Animal Science Research Center (920 E. Campus Drive) where participants learn hive assembly and bee basics; attendees receive a book, snacks, and membership with fees starting at $80. Inside Columbia
- ➤ Columbia College marked 175 years of excellence last Thursday with a Charter Day celebration featuring a welcome from the Spirit Squad, a performance by the Jane Froman Singers, and remarks by history professor Dr. Brad Lookingbill and Dr. Sandra Hamar (noting nearly 100,000 alums), as many wore navy and silver. - ➤ The CPS board is reviewing student transfer rules that would allow transfers only for good cause. Parents will not be able to transfer students for convenience+ or to keep peer groups together. Columbia Missourian

- ➤ On Thursday, the Columbia Office of Violence Prevention Advisory Committee discussed a proposal for a Youth Restorative Justice Pilot Program that would let youth offenders access emotional, mental health and family supports without a juvenile record as the office seeks input from Columbia Public Schools and the Juvenile Justice Center. - ➤ Southern Boone voters will decide on a $4 million school bond on April 7 for school upgrades — which include parking lot and HVAC improvements — without a tax-rate increase. The bond proposal follows months of planning by the board, staff and facilities committee. KOMU 8
