- ➤ A group of 30 walked from Armory Sports Center to St. Luke United Methodist Church as part of the MLK candlelight walk honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Speakers, including Mayor Buffaloe, urged community unity to address local violence (doubling the turnout at the church) during the memorial celebration. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Jan. 7, Boone County Sheriff’s officials held a media tour to showcase a new $20M Regional Training Center featuring driving simulators, virtual reality, and jiu-jitsu technique demonstrations to reduce liability. Training sessions for law enforcement began in the annex and will move to the center in February. COMO Magazine

- ➤ Suzanna’s Kitchen is recalling 13,720 pounds of grilled chicken products due to possible Listeria contamination.
