  • A residential fire in Northeast Columbia was accidentally caused by a candle, resulting in minor damage and the death of a cat.  ABC 17
  • A four-vehicle collision blocked both lanes of East Business Loop 70 in Columbia on Saturday evening, according to the Columbia Police Department.  ABC 17
  • A residential fire in Columbia, caused by an accidental cooking incident, resulted in no human injuries but the death of one cat.  KRCG

CRIME NEWS

  • A University of Missouri Police Department major was suspended and faces DWI and illegal gun possession charges after being found intoxicated in an MUPD vehicle.  KOMU 8
  • Two juveniles were detained in Columbia for allegedly attempting to steal at least eight vehicles on January 17.  ABC 17
